Does this work for songs not on PraiseCharts or CCLI SongSelect?
Yes. That's the main use case. Upload any recording (including a new release that hasn't been charted yet, a regional worship song, or a Bethel/Maverick City track that just dropped) and get the chord chart in 3 minutes.
What artists work best?
Anything you have a recording of. We've seen good results with Elevation Worship, Bethel, Hillsong, Phil Wickham, Maverick City, Brandon Lake, Chris Tomlin, Cory Asbury, Pat Barrett, Sinach. New releases included.
Do I get tabs or chord charts?
Both. Output includes a chord chart with diagrams (170+ chord types), guitar tab notation, and word-level synced lyrics. Use whichever your team needs.
Can I share with my whole worship team?
On the Pro tier you can export to Guitar Pro and share the file. We're working on team plans. Email us if you need something specific for a multi-instrumentalist setup.
What about transposing to a different key?
We display the song in its original key. If your vocalist needs a different key, you can use the chord chart and transpose by hand for now. Native auto-transpose with audio re-pitching is on our roadmap.
Is this CCLI-licensed?
audio2guitar generates a chord chart from audio you provide. CCLI licensing for the underlying song still applies. If your church has a CCLI license, you're covered for the song itself; we don't add or remove that licensing requirement.
How accurate is the AI?
Designed for worship songs (acoustic-driven, clear chord progressions, repeating sections). Chord detection works on 170+ types. Solos and riffs may need minor edits. Try 3 songs free and judge for yourself.
